Real test disclaimer: Every result, screenshot, and timestamp in this guide comes from an actual Bing Webmaster Tools session run on clickflow1.blogspot.com. Results may vary depending on your site's age and content quality.
Indexing your Blogger blog on Bing in 2026 is faster than most bloggers think. With Bing Webmaster Tools properly set up, you can submit your sitemap and get your first crawl in under 2 hours — no plugins, no developer access, no cost.
Most guides tell you to "submit your site to Bing" and move on in one sentence. This one is different. I documented every click, every error, and every real result from my own Blogger blog — so you can copy the exact process without guessing.
Before you start: make sure Google Search Console is already set up for your blog. Bing lets you import everything from Google in 90 seconds flat — ownership verification, sitemaps, all of it — which cuts setup time in half.
📖 Read this first on ClickFlow: Before submitting anything to Bing, make sure your content is actually worth indexing. See how to write a full blog post in 15 minutes using Claude AI — clean structure, proper H1, meta description included.
In this guide you will learn: how to verify your Blogger blog on Bing, how to submit your sitemap correctly, how to use IndexNow for instant crawling, and how to run a free SEO audit using Bing's Site Scan — a tool Google simply does not offer.
I tested all of this on ClickFlow. First URL indexed: 1 hour 34 minutes after submission. All 42 posts discovered: under 2 hours. Here is exactly how.
Why Bing in 2026? Isn't Google Enough?
Google is where everyone fights. Bing is where opportunity waits quietly.
When you submit your Blogger blog to Bing Webmaster Tools, you reach beyond bing.com. Bing powers a large portion of Yahoo and DuckDuckGo search results — meaning one submission touches users across three platforms simultaneously.
Bing's tools are also more transparent than Google's. They surface problems proactively, show data Google hides, and recently launched an AI Performance tab that tracks your appearances inside Microsoft Copilot answers. More on that below.
💡 Also on ClickFlow: Bing is one piece of a bigger traffic strategy. See our full guide on building online income from a beginner blog in 2026.
Step 1: Create Your Bing Webmaster Account — Under 3 Minutes
Go to bing.com/webmasters and sign in with your Microsoft, Google, or Facebook account. No new registration needed.
Bing offers two ways to add your site:
Option A — Import from Google Search Console. If your blog is already verified on Google, Bing pulls ownership verification and sitemaps automatically. This is the fastest path.
Option B — Add manually. Enter your blog URL and verify using a meta tag, XML file upload, or DNS CNAME. Takes a few extra minutes but works perfectly on Blogger.
I used the import option. Within 90 seconds, clickflow1.blogspot.com appeared in the Bing dashboard — already verified, ready to go.
Step 2: Submit Your Sitemap — The Most Important Step
The first thing Bing showed me when I entered the dashboard:
"Your data and reports are being processed and may take up to 48 hours to reflect. Meanwhile, to speed up the indexing process, please submit your sitemap."
Click Sitemaps in the left sidebar. If you imported from Google Search Console, your sitemaps are already listed. My dashboard showed 4 sitemaps, 0 errors, 42 URLs discovered — on the first attempt.
If you're adding manually, your Blogger sitemap URL is:
https://yourblog.blogspot.com/sitemap.xml
Paste it in, click Submit. This is the single step that triggers Bing indexing for your posts. Skip it and Bing may ignore your blog for weeks.
| Metric | My Result |
|---|---|
| Known sitemaps | 4 |
| Sitemaps with errors | 0 |
| Total URLs discovered | 42 |
🔗 Before submitting: Every post needs a proper meta description and a clean H1. Our guide on structuring blog posts for SEO with Claude AI shows exactly how to do this before you go live.
Step 3: URL Submission — And the Error I Made
Bing gives you 100 URL submissions per day. With 42 posts, I submitted everything in one session. My first attempt returned this error:
"One or more URLs are not related to your verified domain."
The fix: every URL must start exactly with https:// — not http://, not www.. Copy URLs directly from your browser bar, never type them manually. Once corrected, all submissions worked immediately.
You can paste multiple URLs at once, one per line — much faster than one by one.
Step 4: IndexNow — The Feature Most Bloggers Skip
IndexNow notifies Bing the moment you publish, instead of waiting days for crawlers to find your post on their own. On Blogger the setup is manual (no plugin like WordPress), but it works.
- Click IndexNow in Bing Webmaster Tools sidebar
- Click Generate — you get a 32-character API key
- Save that key somewhere permanent
After every new post, visit this URL in your browser:
https://www.bing.com/indexnow?url=YOUR_POST_URL&key=YOUR_API_KEY
Or use indexnow.org to submit to Bing, Yandex, and other engines at once. Bookmark it and make it part of your publishing routine.
⚡ Publishing faster: Pair IndexNow with a faster writing workflow. See how we go from idea to published post in under an hour using Claude AI as a writing assistant.
Step 5: Site Scan — Free SEO Audit Google Doesn't Offer
Bing's Site Scan crawls every page of your blog and flags: missing meta descriptions, duplicate H1 tags, images without alt text, broken internal links. Google Search Console doesn't do this on demand — Bing does.
My settings:
- Scope: Website
- URL: https://clickflow1.blogspot.com/
- Page limit: 50
Results arrive in 10–30 minutes. You get a prioritized list of issues with exact URLs and recommended fixes. For a Blogger blog with no paid SEO tools, this is one of the most useful free features available anywhere.

Step 6: AI Performance — Your Copilot Visibility Score
Bing's new AI Performance tab shows when your blog is cited inside Microsoft Copilot AI-generated answers. When Copilot selects your article as a source, your blog gets direct exposure — often with a clickable link — with no ranking competition required.
For newer Blogger blogs with few backlinks, this is a genuine traffic channel that didn't exist a year ago. Content relevance matters more than domain authority here — a real advantage for independent blogs.
